Francesca Bottisteli

The first thing you realize about Francesca Battistelli is that its really hard to remember the spelling of her name to find her record on barnes and nobles website. After you figure that out and you purchase this album you quickly realize what a great voice she has. Especially on the song "Beautiful beautiful" which as the name says is really a beautiful song. It's the kind of song you want to hear over and over again. It's a repeat button song no doubt. The first five songs on this record are about God, but then she starts to talk about the man she recently married which is a bit confusing on a Christian record. Then though when you get to songs 11 and 12 that is when the hard core ministry gets going.

The song "Time in between" is a great song about the time Jesus, though he was God, was willing to live a regular life like we do. Then song 12 which is new to this deluxe album is "Lead me to the Cross," really makes this record a great gospel record. After that song are some remixes of songs and one new one. Francesca Bottistelli has really accomplished something on her first record. So much so that she won best female vocalist at the 2010 Dove Awards which are the Christian music awards. She proves she is a talent to be reckoned with and has a lot of potential for the future. I give My Paper Heart Deluxe edition an 8 out of 10.
